Day 1: Departure USA

Depart the USA on an overnight flight to Berlin. "The Lord will watch over your coming and going" (Psalm 121:8).

Day 2: Berlin — Introduction to Reformation Echoes

Arrive and transfer to your hotel, then a guided tour of Berlin's Reformation legacy: the Berlin Cathedral (Dom), where Protestant worship has endured through centuries of turmoil, and the Marienkirche, one of the city's oldest churches. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Dinner and overnight Berlin.

Day 3: Berlin to Wittenberg — The Spark of Reformation

Travel south to the cradle of the Reformation, where Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the Castle Church door in 1517. Tour the Castle Church (Schlosskirche) with its bronze Theses doors and Luther's tomb. Explore St. Mary's Church (Stadtkirche), where Luther preached, married Katharina von Bora and baptized his children. "The righteous will live by faith" (Romans 1:17). Dinner and overnight Wittenberg.

Day 4: Wittenberg — Luther's Life and Teachings

Visit the Luther House Museum, Luther's former home and the world's largest Reformation museum, with his desk, early Bibles and paintings of his family life. See the Melanchthon House, home of Luther's collaborator Philipp Melanchthon, and the Old Latin School, rebuilt to honor early Protestant learning. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching" (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Dinner and overnight Wittenberg.

Day 5: Eisleben & Erfurt — Luther's Beginnings

Depart for Eisleben, Luther's birthplace and place of death. Tour the Birth House and Death House museums, St. Peter and Paul Church where he was baptized, and St. Andrew's Church, site of his final sermons. Continue to Erfurt, Luther's spiritual home, to explore the Augustinian Monastery where he entered monastic life in 1505, including his preserved cell. "I have been crucified with Christ" (Galatians 2:20). Dinner and overnight Erfurt.

Day 6: Erfurt — Monastic Roots and Theological Foundations

Walking tour of Erfurt's Luther Trail, including St. Mary's Cathedral where Luther was ordained, and the Merchants' Bridge with its Reformation-era trade ties. Visit the Collegium Maius, the old university building where Luther studied philosophy and theology. Afternoon at the Bible Institution in nearby Halle, known for revising Luther's translations. "So is my word that goes out from my mouth" (Isaiah 55:11). Dinner and overnight Erfurt.

Day 7: Eisenach & Wartburg — Bible Translation Haven

Visit Wartburg Castle, the UNESCO site where Luther hid in 1521-22 after the Diet of Worms and translated the New Testament into German in just eleven weeks, making scripture accessible to the common people. Tour the castle's Luther Room and museum of Reformation artifacts. In Eisenach, see St. George's Church, where Luther sang as a boy. "In the beginning was the Word" (John 1:1). Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Worms — Stand for Faith

Journey to Worms, site of the 1521 Diet where Luther refused to recant, famously declaring "Here I stand." Visit the Reformation Monument, the world's largest honoring Protestant leaders, and St. Peter's Cathedral, scene of the imperial assembly. Explore Trinity Church and the Luther Monument. "Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand your ground" (Ephesians 6:13). Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Mainz & Frankfurt — Biblical Printing Legacy

Travel to Mainz, home of Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the movable-type printing press. Visit the Gutenberg Museum with its original Gutenberg Bibles — the first mass-produced scriptures, which revolutionized Biblical access and aided the Reformation. See St. Martin's Cathedral, then continue to Frankfurt for a tour of the Kaiserdom. "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path" (Psalm 119:105). Dinner and overnight Frankfurt.

Day 10: Departure from Frankfurt

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to Frankfurt Airport for your return flight home. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).
